Argiolas S'Elegas is a pleasant and fragrant white. It is presented in the glass with a beautiful golden straw color crossed by luminous reflections. The nose gives sensations of citrus and yellow flowers combined with herbaceous, almost hay notes. In the mouth it is thick and balanced in its hard (acidity and flavor) and soft components. It goes well with seafood and land appetizers and seafood first courses. Exceptional with sea bass steaks in foil, but also with capon with potatoes and fresh tomatoes. It also goes well with soft cheeses.
Drinking and storing
Excellent Sardinian wine
A very delicious white wine that almost has a spritz in the mouth. Slightly saline with peach and apple, reminiscent somehow of New Zealand sauvignon blanc but not as intense, a bit drier. Clean with a pleasant residual dryness.
Delicious fresh white wine
Very good value and a real crowd pleaser . Original taste, not an insipid house wine as the price might suggest. Great on its own or with food. very versatile and tastes a lot more expensive than it is
Not tasted this sort of wine before, I was expecting a 1 dimensional wine but it was complex tasty and just plain nice to drink. Not sure what sort of food would suit it Greek style cheese pies maybe.
