How does Prosecco taste?

Prosecco, with its young and fresh style, has changed the way of understanding sparkling wine. It is an easy-drinking wine that is always excellent value for money.

Produced from the Glera grape variety, Prosecco is produced in Brut, Extra Dry and Dry versions in various appellations in Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. You can find them all in our online wine shop: Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, Superiore Cartizze DOCG, Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Valdobbiadene Prosecco Rive di Refrontolo Superiore.

Connoisseurs recognise Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG as one of the highest quality Italian Proseccos, and in the glass, it shows greater intensity. The notes of pear and white flowers characteristic of Prosecco are transformed into aromas of citrus, peach, apple and rose, leaving a subtle and pleasant hint of dried fruit on the palate.

If you want to know more, discover our Definitive Guide to Prosecco.

Proseccos recommended by our sommelier.

The names of the great producing families of the Veneto cannot be missing in your cellar: Andreola, Ruggeri, Foss Marai, Bortolomiol, Adami, Merotto, Nino Franco, Spagnol and Mionetto are part of the history of this splendid territory rooted in the hills of Valdobbiadene. Nor are the best Proseccos from Astoria, such as the Astoria Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Arzanà  or from Casa Sant'Orsola, with its Sant'Orsola Prosecco Eleonora Collection, which represent the best of Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

To start diving into Proseccos' world, try Bisol's more agile and pop line, Bel Star Prosecco Brut. And if you want to discover an even fruitier and more surprising wine, try the rosé Prosecco Canti Rosé Extradry.

At Vinissimus, we have selected the Proseccos from the best wineries for you. Discover them all!
