Review

With a French-style name that seemingly wants to pay homage to the first Bordeaux producers who bravely undertook the manufacture of distinctive wines in small quantities, the Baigorri de Garage is one of the most exclusive and original wines made by this Rioja winery. It's a wine with a seductive and individual character, rich in ripe fruit aromas, notes of liquorice and roasted nuances, and a flavoursome, creamy and round palate, on which hints of tobacco and smoke appear, and where the wine displays all its charm. A spicy and very long finish.

Elegant

Élégant, couleur pourpre. Racé, parfum légèrement terreux. Long en bouche et final prononcé. La légère acidité me fais penser que dans un an ce vin sera au top

Bodegas Baigorri

Bodegas Baigorri

The magnificent building of Bodegas Baigorri in Samaniego, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria mountains, was designed by the Guipuzcoa architect Iñaki Aspiazu, with the intention of integrating it harmoniously into the countryside. To the passer-by, only a huge glass cube can be seen among an extensive carpet of vineyards; however, all of the industrious action in the winery takes place below, in its seven underground storeys descending to a depth of 32 metres. Since its ...
