Celler Pardas have a knack for making wines that communicate the essence and character of a variety, as they have done with their Xarel·lo and Sumoll wines, and Blau Cru is their presentation of Malvasia de Sitges, very much an up-and-coming grade in the Penedès these days. This is a very fresh wine, with the lively acidity for which the variety is famous, but also shows a considerable body. For me, this wine has been the key to understanding what Malvasia is all about. This is a wine of superb quality, and I guess it will age well. Excellent value for money!
A family-run winery located in the Torrelavit district, in the Alt Penedès, with the two young and enterprising owners taking care of the whole production process, a combination of viticulture and agriculture.
