Freshness, finesse and elegance are the three words which best define this white Rioja. The blend of Viura, Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc combined with the quality of the Rioja Alta grapes and the verticality the Finca Carbonera vines have to reckon with, makes El Coto Blanco a very special white wine.

A delicious light white wine
I discovered this wine when holidaying in Spain last month. My friends, who live there, absolutely love it and, now, I do too. In fact, I loved it so much that I ordered a case from Vinissimus as soon as I got home. It was much cheaper doing this, although you have to pay for the carriage, than buying it in the UK at some exorbitant price! It is a delicious, light, dry white wine with plenty of character for such a bargain.
I ordered this wine because of its good reviews, 4 and 5 stars, but also being low in price with it... It's a very easy going white wine with a pleasant taste, not too dry or sweet. Great to serve on a party or a nice sunny afternoon in the garden; it won't fail!
still good..but not as fresh...
It is remarkable how refreshing and crispy was 2015. Much more noticeable are notes of oxidation on the 2016 vintage, less fruity flavours and persistence too. He did so lost a star. However, price wise, it still is a really good wine.
A great spanish rioja
During winters in spain, we tasted a few wines and then came across El Coto white rioja. It's a zesty accompaniment to good food which is reasonably priced . We were pleased to find it back home. Enjoy trying it!
A perfect standby wine
This is my baseline wine for when people come to visit. If they say their preference is white I feel secure in knowing that invariably there is a positive reaction. Uncomplicated, light and subtlety distinctive.
The grapes are kept at a low temperature once they reach the winery, and this continues right the way through the production process, in order to ensure the highest quality of must and that the aromas obtained are the finest possible. The grapes are cold when they arrive for pressing and subsequently settling also occurs at a low temperature, as well as fermentation.
