Review
This is a Rioja Crianza with plenty of fine attributes that offers excellent value for money - a 100% Tempranillo with grapes emanating from all three sub-zones: Rioja Alta, Baja and Alavesa. Fermentation takes place in the Oyón bodega, equipped with the latest advances in technology for keeping the temperature controlled during production processes. This enables just the right colour extraction to be obtained and helps to achieve a balanced wine with good structure.
A ruby-red colour and of medium density in appearance, the pleasantly fragrant nose exhibits fresh fruit aromas (strawberries) with touches of vanilla and oaky liquorice hints. Showing great balance on the palate, the wine is silky-smooth on entry and continues velvety, with an agreeable finish.
Aged for 12 months in 225-litre American oak barrels, and afterwards allowed to rest in bottle for a minimum of 6 months before release.
