Bottle size and vintage
A great wine from Andalucia that stands out distinctively due to the depth and breadth of its aromas, now richly enhanced by a new set of nuances supplied by the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (the first vintage was a single varietal Syrah). This wine provides sound proof of its elegance and distinction; it is powerful, with excellent fruit, and well-balanced, bringing great credit to an area not known until now for producing top quality red wines, namely the region of Cádiz.
A dark cherry colour and dense in appearance, the wine has a harmonious and elegant nose, displaying aromas of preserved fruit, plums, toasty and roast coffee notes, fine aldehydes and balsamic hints. It is flavoursome, balanced, creamy and refined on the palate, manifesting mature tannins and good acidity. Nicely fresh, it has good length and persistence.
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and afterwards for a year in bottle.

A superb wine at a very reasonable price. The order process was simple and efficient and delivery was prompt and problem free.by: Tor (26/10/2017) - Vintage 2014
A mature deep red
A great red if you like dark deep red colours and round and smooth. It is a fitting ‘big brother ‘ to its exceptionally good value younger Barbazul from the same winery. The 2011 and 2014 Taberner are pretty identical, which illustrates the winery’s tasting continuation capability.by: Albert Huber (14/08/2017) - Vintage 2014
First tasted this lovely wine in a restaurant in Vejer de la Frontera and had to order some for consumption in England.
Huerta de Albalá
Mariano Taberner Montoro is directly responsible for the architectural project of this Cádiz winery, designed in the style of a French château, surrounded by vineyards, and resembling an Andalusian country house farm. Moreover, it has the substantial backing of Vicente Taberner, the Valencian businessman so enthusiastic about wine that he decided to purchase this estate, la Huerta de Albalá, realising it was steeped in history, for producing his own wines under the Vino de la...
