Mariano Taberner Montoro is directly responsible for the architectural project of this Cádiz winery, designed in the style of a French château, surrounded by vineyards, and resembling an Andalusian country house farm. Moreover, it has the substantial backing of Vicente Taberner, the Valencian businessman so enthusiastic about wine that he decided to purchase this estate, la Huerta de Albalá, realising it was steeped in history, for producing his own wines under the Vino de la Tierra de Cádiz denomination: Taberner is his first wine, a top-range red, and Taberner 1 is classed as his most exclusive.
