What does this wine taste like?
Aromas of cassis, earthy notes, wafts of tobacco and toasted bread, and subtle undertones of caramel. Its entry on the palate is sweet and, although it favours decanting, you can tell this is an agreeable wine just by uncorking the bottle; flavoursome, rounded, with well-integrated ageing notes and a slight choclatey bitterness. Warm, glyceric, balsamic, silky and seamless.
Drinking and storing
The quality of this wine is patently obvious and it can be laid down for some 6-7 years. It also comes over as straightforward, direct and, unlike its winery siblings, very accessible right from the start.
Lamb / Barbecues / Rabbit lamb with fine herbs / Oven-cooked meats / Roast beef

Very nice Ribera at good price
Full bodied and fruity, quite big but nice tannins. I’d chill this a bit to 16-17 C and leave it open for at least 2 hours in a room temperature. I think that this is 4,5 stars wine and giving it 4 wouldn’t be fair so that’s why I gave it a full 5.
This wine is something special. Full body, high intensity, high alcohol, long after tast, and much more but still RdD style.
A beauty, big bold and powerful, soft tannins, brilliant with steak and grilled/roast red meat, will definitely order again
A great value in Ribeira
As always, this wine does not disappoint...a great value in Ribeira!
Surprenant et Elegant
Un vin surprenant et élégant avec beaucoup de caractère et un final à faire rougir les plus grand.. Parfait sur une viande rouge grillée. A décanter une bonne heure avant. Très belle découverte

The Dominio de Atauta vineyards are located in the most easterly area of the denomination, in the province of Soria, in an incredibly harsh environment that appears almost forgotten and abandoned, yet one that still has much to offer.
Dominio de Atauta
The Dominio de Atauta winery is located in the Atauta valley in the province of Soria in central Spain. The winery's goal is to demonstrate the full potential of their pre-phylloxera Tinto Fino vines with ages ranging between 85 and 150 years old. The Atauta valley has a history of over 500 years of winemaking in extremely severe conditions,...
