Review

A blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano, the wine is deep ruby-red in colour. Aromas of red fruits abound on the nose and impart freshness, enveloped in a background of vanilla and sweet spices. It is clean and lively on the palate, which is meaty and full of flavour, with ripe tannins blended in well and a good, harmonious structure.

Aged for 12 months in oak barrels and subsequently for at least 14 months in bottle.

  • Optimum serving temperature:Between 16º C and 18º C

Smooth with a touch of oak

Good berry fruit with soft tannins giving a an edge of vanilla. It went great with a steak but is soft enough to drink on its own

A lovely smooth Spanish wine

Bought this wine while on holiday in Menorca. Around 9€ a bottle in the supermarket. Couldn’t get in the UK from local suppliers but found it on Vinissimus. Even with the shipping costs worth getting this wine delivered.

Reliably good!

A really nice wine always. Reliably good and great value for the quality. Highly recommended this wine and will definitely be buying it again.

Marqués de Cáceres

Marqués de Cáceres

Enrique Forner founded the company Marqués de Cáceres Unión Vitivinícola in 1970, with its name granted by an old family friend who was descended from the original 18th Century marquis. Many of the area’s best vine growers and their vineyards were incorporated into this project, and years later most still remain, meaning that this bodega controls around 1,200 hectares locally, thanks to the strong links forged back then. The Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa is the location for th...
