For those of you who have walked IL Camino this wine will bring it all back. Typical of the region this is one of the best local wines that I have been able to source since returning from Santiago. Not too heavy on minerals or tannins this wine is dangerously easy to drink. Ultreia!
The wine is medium bodied and well balanced, and has a good plum color. A useful wine for 'tapas' and parties. It represents good value for money, and we will be definitely purchasing more bottles.
God wine for right price.
Normally is a red young wine not drinkable without a lot of air. But Luna Beberide Mencia perfect direct from the bottle.
A young wine but it still has a lot to say for itself. Excellent value and worth the price. Easy drinking.

This is a very good wine for the money. Wines from this part of Spain are not that well known.
The three reds made by Luna Beberide come from vineyards in a particular location, the paraje de Valdetruchas, in Villafranca del Bierzo. The youngest vines, situated in the valley, are grown for making the young Mencía; those at medium altitude, around 500-600 metres, aged more than 60 years old, are used to produce Finca Luna Beberide (previously called Finca La Cuesta for this reason); and those planted at the top of the slope, at about 700-800 metres, are destined for Art, the most concentrated and mineral wine.
