Review

Catena Zapata wines have, to put it frankly, revolutionised the American wine scene since the company began to produce wines from parcels or very specific vineyards. Among the whites are its extraordinary White Bones, White Stones and River Stones. They are still not widely known, with very limited production, yet really spectacular.

These three wines originate from the Adrianna vineyard, in Gualtallary, and each one has its own personality. White Bones, which concerns us here, has its origins in soils that are more calcareous by nature; it shows great acidity and is very refined and perfumed. With the oak perfectly integrated, it's spicy, having notes of dried fruit and nuts and a seductive minty freshness. Magnificent and amazing.
