Lovely, smooth, higher quality White Rioja. I’ve also visited the winery and the family owners are very passionate about their small production. The vast majority of bottles I’ve tasted, across various vintages, have been fantastic. However, I’ve strangely had a couple of ‘off’ bottles in the pack, but it doesn’t stop me from purchasing more! Having visited the winery in Villanueva de Alana last September I was delighted to find this wine at Vinissimus. This wine has a wonderful story behind it but most of all it has a great depth of flavour and is a shining example of great Rioja. Please try it.
