Details for Vivanco Reserva 2014
Bottle size and vintage
Vivanco Reserva is made with a selection of the best Tempranillo and Graciano grapes harvested by hand from vines planted over 35 years ago in Briones. They are vinified separately before blending to create the wine which then ages for 24 months in French and American oak. It is left to stand for 24 more months before being released onto the market.
The result is a complex and spicy wine. The whole process from the vineyard to ageing provides a unique reinterpretation of Rioja wine traditions. An elegant purple-coloured wine with terracotta edges, it offers classic aromas embellished with cinnamon and cherries. Silky yet intense in the mouth, Vivanco Reserva is a modern wine but respectful with tradition. History and culture are also present in the final product. The design of the bottle is inspired by an 18th century bottle on display in their museum and the label features the painting "Naturaleza muerta" (Still Life) by the Cubist painter Juan Gris.

This is a very good wine for the money. Not so many wines that you could describe fairly as “fine” are available for so little. What impressed me most was the intensity of the flavour and length of the finish. You can certainly pay a lot more for less excellent wine.by: francesco (10/04/2018) - Vintage 2012
Great value reserva
We tried many reserva wines when touring la Rioja, and this one was one of our favourites. For an everyday red this is great value and tastes great. Full-bodied but not overpowering, so nice to drink alone, but also good with red meat.by: Julian (08/12/2017) - Vintage 2011
I love the Vivanco Reserva for years now! It's a perfect balance of tradition and a modern interpretation of the Rioja Style.
