Review

This Remelluri Blanco is undoubtedly a wine-making marvel, exotic and fragrant, and it continues to be one of La Rioja’s best kept secrets. Its great personality never fails to amaze year after year due to its complexity and subtlety. It will improve with a bit longer spent in bottle, although it is presently at an optimum time for drinking.

12 months ageing in oak, with each variety separated.

  • Optimum serving temperature:Between 9ºC and 11ºC

Lo mejor de La Rioja en blanco

Nariz muy frutal a manzana, uva y melocotón con notas de flores blancas y mantequilla. Madera evidente en boca, pero muy bien integrada. Muy buena acidez con final dulce.

Granja Ntra. Sra de Remelluri

The Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri is to be found where once stood the Monastery of Toloño (Labastida), on the old estate that formerly belonged to the monks of St. Jerome who, in the 14th Century, worked the lands growing cereals and vines. There are still traces to be found of their community (a wine press and a cemetery). In 1968 Jaime Rodríguez Salís restored the vineyards and the ancient buildings, converting the monastery into the winery it is today, where the Reme...
