The wine

This wine has been given the original name of the town of Porrera, la Vall de la Por ('the Valley of Fear'), as though suggesting we leave on the label anything that might frighten us off a Priorat wine: strength, price… Nowadays it’s possible to find appealing, easy to drink Priorats at perfectly reasonable prices, like this one. Firm yet silky, powerful but accessible, mature and with well-integrated oak and the characteristic minerality which takes us straight to the vineyard. A fine example of Priorat wine and, in particular, from Porrera, a lovely town which brings together some of the most well-known wineries in the whole region and a number of the most sought-after wines by enthusiasts all over the world.

A firm and silky red with dark fruit and a hint of chocolate. Medium body. Juicy finish. Lovely fruit. Drink now.
