Genau mein Ding

Ok wine

Felt that it was a bit light for my wife and myself This was pleasant but not outstanding for a grand reserva

Excellent Value Gran Reserva, best Rioja in its price range by far!

Excellent Value Gran Reserva, best Rioja in its price range by far! Suggest letting it breathe for a few hours before drinking. Classic Rioja tones, but very smooth, with lots of Oakiness and Vanilla notes coming through. Will certainly be buying again. Its worth paying a bit extra to get this Gran Reserva version of Lan, its much smoother. Its more in line with a nice Ribera Del Duero than Rioja. and certainly worth a try. You'd be pushed to find a better Spanish red within this price range. This is the 2007 vintage, and I haven't tried any other years of this Gran Reserva to do a comparison, so unable to comment that. I have tried the Crianza and Reserva though, and think the Gran Reserva is certainly worth the extra few Euros. Very consistent maker though, with reliably good wines throughout the Lan range. Buy with confidence. Enjoy
