The wine
Horcajo is the newest Cepa 21 wine made in the Ribera del Duero. It achieves its maximum expressiveness thanks to using only Tempranillo grapes from the Horcajo plot, one of the most interesting plots they own. A wine with great potential, and a very limited production — only 1457 bottles.
It is aged for eighteen months in new French oak barrels and shows an intense and lively Picota cherry colour. Elegant and complex on the nose, it is loaded with ripe black fruit backed up by nuances the wine has received from its time in wood. Its balance, warmth, and persistence are very clear in the mouth.
