Exopto Burbujas y Alegría Pet-Nat

Few things describe this wine better than its own name. Fresh, vibrant and full of energy, Burbujas y Alegría is an invitation to enjoy the most carefree side of Rioja.

Made by Bodegas Exopto, this ancestral-method sparkling wine comes from a small plot of white Garnacha in the El Espinal vineyard, in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. The vines, planted in 2018 on clay-limestone soils at 650 metres above sea level, yield fresh, expressive grapes that are perfect for bringing this distinctive Pét-Nat to life.

It is made using the ancestral method, a technique as simple as it is fascinating: fermentation begins in tank and finishes in the bottle itself, naturally creating its fine bubbles. With no disgorgement and six months of ageing on lees, it retains all its authenticity and character. It is also made without added sulphur, in a very limited production of just 2,000 bottles.
