The wine

Made from selected Tempranillo grapes and a small percentage of Graciano and Mazuelo. The vineyards planted in Rioja Alta are characterized by clayey-calcareous soils and a continental climate with Mediterranean influences. Aged for 24 months in American and French oak barrels. Then rest in the bottle for 36 more months.

It has a beautiful burgundy color with reddish notes on the meniscus. Interesting aromatic complexity where we can find well assembled aromas of ripe fruit or Christmas with spices, toffee, roasted coffee, balsamic. In the mouth it has a soft entrance and a step marked by a silky tannin that leads us to a slightly acidic finish that gives it freshness so the retronasal is long and balsamic.

What started out as the project of two brothers (Raimundo and Eusebio Real de Asúa) continues today in the hands of the same family (now the fifth generation) and comprises four wineries: CVNE, Imperial (an independent winery within the original CVNE winery), Viña Real and Viñedos del Contino....
