The wine
Made using grapes from 10 to 40 year-old vineyards.
A dark cherry-red colour with ruby tones at the rim, this wine exudes ripe black fruit aromas on the nose, accompanied by lactic notes and nuances from oak-ageing. There is a warm, voluminous feel on the palate, with spicy, fruit notes and silky tannins.
Ageing take place separately for 9 months in French oak barrels.

Vins i Caves Ferré i Catasús began in 2001, when their first Merlots, Xarel·los and Cabernets came onto the market. The bodega was named in honour of its founder, Josep Maria Ferré y Catasús.They own 41 hectares of vineyards which are spread out all over the Priorat and vary in altitude from 100 to 700 metres above sea level.
