Details for Pontellón 2018
Bottle size and vintage
Pontellón is an Albariño from a Vilachán estate, in Pontevedra, where the vineyards grow halfway up the slope and benefit from a southerly orientation which guarantees a plentiful amount of sunshine. The mild climate enables the grapes to mature slowly and thus preserves their varietal aromas, and the soils —granite, sandy and very permeable— help to enhance these aromas and endow the end result with extra finesse.
With a clean, powerful nose and displaying citrus and fruit notes, Pontellón is made according to a process in which alcoholic fermentation is delayed before completion so that greater sweetness can thus be obtained. On the palate it appears structured, with plenty of body, fruity and citrusy, and ends with a long, elegant finish.

Like all it’s brothers and sisters it’s a typical Albariño. Crisp and bursting in flavour. Really good value & well worth a tryby: Bloomers (22/03/2019) - Vintage 2017
Like all Albariño wines great crisp taste that never fail to please. The perfect compliment with fish, white meat or as sun downerby: Mark D, London (23/11/2017) - Vintage 2016
I was drawn to this wine while ordering a range of Albarihos to sample as it looked quite popular and was inexpensive. Although it is quite a pleasant, there are other similarly priced Albainhos which I prefer.by: JordiC (31/05/2017) - Vintage 2016
Un buen vino galego a un buen precio
Tipico sabor de vino blanco gallego, con final muy afrutado y excelente para combinar con pescados o incluso solo como aperitivo!
