Classic & dry

Light mouthfeel, but deep in flavour this is all I'm after in a sherry & aperitif, great stuff & roll on summer

Délicieux.

Un vin exquis, en apéritif ou au dessert. Une délectation. Il a fait l'unanimité, et a merveilleusement accompagné les desserts.

Grande! Rapporto qualità prezzo fantastico. Estremamente didattico per chi deve spiegare il miracolo del Palo Cortado. Si apprezzano perfettamente le due qualità base ovvero il naso dell'Amontillado ed il gusto dell'Oloroso. Piacevolezza e bevibilità.

Dass Palo Cortados die rarsten aller Sherrys sind, trägt ebenso zu dem Mythos bei, wie der Geschmack, der sich aus der ungewollten (gewollten?) Mischung der Florreifung und der Oxidation ergibt. Dieser von der Meisterbodega Lustau ist ein Paradeexemplar.

The original company was founded in 1896 by Don José Ruiz-Berdejo, a wholesaler who grew vines on an estate that is still in the family, and sold his wines to the large exporting bodegas. Don Emilio Lustau Ortega, his son-in-law, established the bodega in 1940 in the old quarter of Jerez de la Frontera, from where the company has been exporting its wines since 1950.
