0.75 L - 2014

A wine that expresses the typicality of the Priorat region, and specifically of this denomination’s southern part, and also of an estate where the vineyards are integrated in an environment that is partly left in its natural state, amidst woods, with almond, olive and hazelnut trees, and clumps of lavender and rosemary bushes growing among the grapevines.

Clos Fontà originates from a selection of grapes that come from parcels with older vines, in order to obtain more powerfulness, concentration and complexity, should we make comparisons with its younger sibling, Coma Vella. A wine without too much fuss, with sweet tannins, which involves taking time and care to appreciate the balanced palate from start right through to the lengthy finish.

NOTE: Decanting is recommended before serving.

Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels. It subsequently rests for 6 months in bottle.

  • ViewPicota cherry red / Violet glints / Deeply-coloured
  • Bouquet:Spicy notes / Mineral notes / Ripe fruit / Complex / Elegant
  • Mouth:Persistent / Fresh / Ripe tannins / Velvety / Fruity tannins / Voluminous
  • Optimum serving temperature:Between 16ºC and 18ºC

vino muy bueno

Es un vino muy equilibrado, con un paladar muy suave pero a la vez con fuerza y color intenso. En resumen muy recomendable.

Top Priorat !

Very young ofcorse but with a lovely nose of ripe red and black fruits, plums, authum forrest, spices, laurel, dark chocolate, full bodied, great balance, layered fruits, juicy, soft integrated tannin and fine acidity, long aftertaste, 95 DSP

Un 7

Vino muy correcto de la DOQ Priorat. Potente, muy mineral en boca y posgusto agradable. Depende mucho de la añada; no es muy regular.

Viticultors Mas d'en Gil

The realisation of a dream, “bottling the land”, and a reality: a company run by Pere Rovira and his daughters, showing their passion, tradition and sincerity. Mas d’en Gil is situated in the southern part of the Priorat, where the Garnacha takes precedence over the Cariñena, more typical of the northern area. The location is known as the Priorat’s “botanical garden”, due to the presence of small clumps of lavender and rosemary bushes growing amongst the vines. Mas d’en Gil...
