The wine

Carmen is, in the words of Benjamín Romeo himself, a wine that comes straight from the heart, dedicated to his mother. He returns to the classic too, producing a wine that differs from the others made by his company, a wine which is full of affection and combines tradition and modernity.

In its production he uses the grapes from the La Canoca, Ariaisabel, El Sacramento and Pangua parcels, located within the municipalities of San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Briones. As regards ageing, barrels used previously for two and three wines, all of them French oak, in which the wine will mature for 24 months (with a subsequent resting period of 36 months in bottle).

Carmen is a feminine wine, as to be expected, classic but with Benjamín's personal touch inevitably too. Fine and elegant on the nose, with hints of ripe fruits blending with oaky notes and fruit compote. Fresh, flavoursome and firm on the palate. A Gran Reserva wine with a long life ahead.

Involved in the whole process of making his wines (from pruning to designing the labels, and choosing the oak wood used in making...
