The wine

With just one sip of Atance, you immediately notice that this is a delightfully cheerful wine brimming with character and fruit. An organic estate wine and suitable for vegans, it is made entirely from Bobal grapes grown on goblet-trained vines located inland from Valencia at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level. These conditions together with the sandy soils in which the plants struggle to find sustenance, ensure the resulting wine displays character and elegance.

Grapes are harvested and selected by hand in the vineyards, and then fermented in steel and concrete tanks at controlled temperatures. A little use of its lees gives the finished wine body in the mouth and a rounded sensation. Following a 6-month ageing process, it is bottled in April and May. Upon pouring, it displays a beautiful cherry red colour and suggestive aromas of black fruits and liquorice with hints of spices and a feeling of minerality. It has a juicy feel, quite gentle, like sweet ripe blackberries. Delicate on first taste, it quickly fills every corner of the mouth with a pleasantness which plays against precise bitter tones reminiscent of coriander seeds. Every drink contains the freshness of the forest and the wine's fruit maintains a perfect balance between citric acidity and mature sensations while its apparent fragility turns into a direct and honest character in the mouth. A wine constantly expressing a great respect for the variety and how it is grown, with a lingering, transparent and extremely expressive character.
