Details for 12 Volts 2018
Callet, Fogoneu, Syrah, Cabernet sauvignon and Merlot
Bottle size and vintage
12 Volts is the second label of the emblematic 4 Kilos winery in Mallorca, and a wine with an accessible and very gastronomic profile, pairing up well with lots of dishes. It's made from a combination of varieties, some indigenous (Callet and Fogoneu amount to 60% of the blend) and some Bordeaux, and also amalgamates a Mediterranean character, the Mallorquin element, aromas of aromatic plants (oregano), with the Atlantic, showing its moist undertone of damp earth. It's a wine which harmonizes rusticity and pure loveliness, that comes over as powerful but not adversely so.

This is a special wine...
This wine is different. Light yet tasty. Goes well with any not too heavy meals - chicken, veal and vegetarian dishes.by: Cjd@amco.gi (30/08/2019) - Vintage 2017
Great Mallorcan wine
Discovered this a couple of years ago when holidaying in Mallorca. A truly excellent red wine from this region. Not cheap but great for a special occasion.by: Eive (18/07/2019) - Vintage 2017
An interesting good wine from Mallorca, Spain, made from 5 different grapes very well blended. Light color and lots of tasteby: Tom (27/05/2019) - Vintage 2017
Intriguing red fron the islands, power finesse with a deep black core of fruit. Not as fun as tanuki bob tho.by: Cecilia (30/10/2018) - Vintage 2016
This was a very good wine for that money ! Not so fullbody as the 4 kilo is, but very nice one!
4 Kilos Vinícola
Francesc Grimalt and Sergio Caballero are the two partners in this bodega, producing wines under the geographical indication of Vino de la Tierra de Mallorca, with a passionate and overriding belief in quality without the need for a huge financial commitment: '4 kilos' alludes to the modest initial investment of 4 million pesetas.
