Sweet Sherry & Pedro Ximénez Wine
Sweet sherry from Jerez, Montilla-Moriles and Málaga: rich, dessert-style wines made from sun-dried Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel grapes. Pedro Ximénez sherry is dark, syrupy and intensely raisined — closer to liquid dessert than a typical wine. Moscatel is lighter and more floral. Both are traditionally served in small glasses, on their own or alongside dessert.

What's the difference between sherry and sweet sherry
Dry sherries like Fino and Oloroso are fermented to dryness before fortification. Sweet sherries are made differently: Pedro Ximénez grapes are dried in the sun after harvest to concentrate their sugar, then fortified, producing a thick, intensely sweet wine. Moscatel follows a similar process with a more aromatic grape. Cream sherry sits in between — a blend of dry Oloroso and sweet Pedro Ximénez.
