To regulate Boca, it includes several types of grapes, Nebbiolo (85%), which finds its excellence in this area, and Vespolina (15%), which accompanies the main grape in its aging, also as a close relative. Vespolina is a very difficult grape to breed, it is sensitive to wet weather and diseases, and often has low yields. However, it gives these wines a great spiciness and supports without covering the structure of Nebbiolo. Boca is a wine that needs long aging. Its decisive character evolves after 3-4 years in wooden barrels. The minerality of the porphyry soils and the unique structure of Nebbioli come together in Boca making it a full and expressive wine. Aromas of violet, ripe wild berries and pomegranate are evident which fade into licorice and tobacco. In the mouth the power and elegance of the silk create come together in a fascinating game, ending with a long and slightly bitter tail. The great complexity always lets you discover new nuances.
