Review

Elegant, fragrant and with good ageing potential, Laurona is made using grapes sourced from Garnacha and Cariñena vineyards aged more than 50 years old, and small amounts of Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, originating from terrains with different soil compositions which contributes complexity (from vineyards located in Falset, Marçà, El Molar, La Figuera and Darmós).

NOTE: Decanting is recommended before serving.

A violet shade of red in colour, the wine exhibits a complex and intense nose, with notes of blackcurrants, plums, blackberries and toasty dried fruits, as well as spicy hints (vanilla and cinnamon) on a floral background of violets. Opulent, velvety-smooth and persistent on the palate, it shows a balanced tannic structure.

Aged for 12 months in 500-litre French oak barrels.
