Jimbro Puesta en Cruz 2018 is the result of a story of search, patience, and revelation. For years, the Jimbro team walked through the century-old vineyards of Las Arribes del Duero, identifying vine by vine a nearly forgotten grape variety: Puesta en Cruz. What seemed like a local curiosity turned out to be an extraordinary grape, capable of producing white wines with soul, depth, and aging potential.
This wine is born from poor soils of granite and slate, where century-old roots cling with strength. Fermented and aged in French oak barrels, with 12 months on its lees, Puesta en Cruz 2018 revives the old concept of white wines that are complex, tense, and elegant. Aromas of white fruit, dried flowers, and subtle spices. On the palate, vibrant acidity, mineral tension, texture, and a long finish that invites contemplation.
A white wine for those who seek wines with history, with landscape, and with a future. The Puesta en Cruz variety was officially recognized by the European Union in 2019.
