Review

This Rosso di Montepulciano is the freshest and most lively interpretation of the same Sangiovese di Vigna Martiena which, in this historic part of wine-producing Tuscany, produces the famous Vino Nobile. Lively ruby in colour, from only steel, it has a superb olfactory impact that ranges from winey to fruity. On the palate it is perky, dynamic, of great freshness and pleasant taste. It’s a wine that can be rich and profound, which benefits from vines that are more than ten years old (not very young, therefore, for the type) and medium-textured and pebbly soils, which at the same time guarantee it verticality and good longevity.

Food pairing

Beau Vin !

Vin jeune, de couleur rouge rubis, bien fruité au nez, doté d'un corps léger. Belle persistance, goûteux, frais et aux tanins souples. Je recommande !

Wine from Caterina Dei

Caterina Dei

The Dei family, active in the Montepulciano area for decades now, is one of the most solid wineries in the realm of Vino Nobile, which has been produced since 1985. Spread out among the historic Bossona vineyard and those of Martiena and Ciarliana, the Dei family properties are indeed famously some of the best suited to the big regional reds. The best vintage, Bossona, grows out of sandy and tuffy soils rich in skeleton, which is typical of the area, at an altitude of about 400...
