The wine

Ca N'Estruc Blanc is a white wine that embodies the essence and uniqueness of its terroir, located in the foothills of Montserrat Mountain in Catalonia, Spain. This wine is the fruit of the Ca N'Estruc winery, known for its dedication to reflecting the rich varietal diversity and unique expression of its vineyard, which enjoys a special microclimate due to its privileged location.

Ca N'Estruc Blanc is made from a careful selection of grapes, predominantly Xarel-lo, a variety indigenous to Catalonia, complemented by touches of other white varieties that add complexity and depth to the wine. This blend reflects the winery's philosophy of fusing tradition and innovation to create wines of unique character.

Visually, the wine has a pale yellow colour with greenish reflections, suggestive of its freshness and vitality. On the nose, it displays a rich and complex aromatic range, where notes of white fruits such as apple and pear, hints of citrus and a subtle floral background intertwine, providing a distinctive elegance that invites tasting.

On the palate, Ca N'Estruc Blanc is surprisingly balanced and harmonious. The acidity is lively and well-integrated, providing a freshness that perfectly complements the smooth texture and mid-palate. The fruit flavours are confirmed, enriched by mineral nuances that reflect the terroir of origin. The finish is clean and persistent, with an aftertaste that recalls the initial aromatic sensations.

This wine is a faithful expression of the land it comes from, ideal to enjoy on any occasion. Its versatility makes it perfect to accompany a wide range of dishes, from light appetizers to seafood, fish and rice dishes. Ca N'Estruc Blanc is, without a doubt, a testament to the Ca N'Estruc winery's ability to create wines that speak of their love for their land and their relentless pursuit of quality.

Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker

The white 2021 Blanc is a blend of 70% Xarello, 15% Moscatel, 10% Macabeo and 5% Garnacha Blanca—quite different from the past. It fermented with natural yeasts in stainless steel and was bottled unoaked. This has 12.5% alcohol, a little riper than the typical harvest in the zone (which was base wine for Cava); in 2021 they harvested a little earlier, and the wine didn't go through malolactic. It's balsamic and has notes of bay leaf, with nice freshness and a long, dry finish. The palate is light, with marked acidity and a sharp finish. They started with biodynamics in 2019, and this is the first year they see the results. 80,000 bottles produced.

Ca N'Estruc

The Ca N'Estruc estate is situated on the mountainside of Montserrat, in the municipal district of Esparreguera (Barcelona), and has been deeply rooted in the world of wine since 1548. The 26 ha of vineyards lie at a height of 165 m above sea level and enjoy a specific micro-climate due to being sheltered from the cold north winds by the mountain of Montserrat. Located in the middle of the estate is the bodega where Francisco Martí Badia, who is both vine grower and wine...
