Ruby red with garnet reflections, it has characteristic, fruity and spicy aromas, with notes of red fruit jam, flint, vanilla. The terroir of Gattinara gives the nose a ferrous and mineral personality. Sapid and vivid, it has silky but punctual tannins and good persistence.

From one of my favourite restaurants
This Gattinara from Antoniolo is the wine I often choose when I'm in one of my favourite restaurants in my hometown Amsterdam. I was looking through the Italvinus list to see whether it was available here. And it was. So I ordered two bottles. Gattinara is made from the Nebbiolo grape just like it's famous brother Barolo but is from a different region. I think it is 'four star delicious'. Salute.
Très bon Gattinara / Excellent nebbiolo
Un vin bien représentatif de l'excellente appellation de Gattinara, plus petite et moins connue que les autres Piémontais (Barolo, Barbaresco).
