BEN is the affectionate abbreviation of Benjamin, the name that is traditionally given to the last-born, the most loved son. So Nittardi chose this name for his younger wine. BEN is a white wine, specifically a pure Vermentino: the autochthonous grape variety widespread in the Mediterranean basin which has found in the coasts of the southern Maremma an ideal microclimate to express its full potential.
Straw yellow with bright greenish reflections. The scent is intense and persistent with floral, citric, exotic fruit and ripe peach scents. The good structure conferred by a fresh acidity and salinity, makes it well balanced and very pleasant on the palate, with excellent development and verticality. Excellent as an aperitif or to accompany fish and vegetable dishes.
