Raíces Rufete

The hidden elegance of the Sierra de Salamanca. A red wine that recovers one of the most distinctive varieties of Spanish viticulture and expresses it with freshness, subtlety and a personality that is hard to forget.

The Raíces collection was created with the aim of highlighting some of Spain’s most interesting native varieties. On this occasion, the protagonist is Rufete, a historic grape from the D.O. Sierra de Salamanca whose century-old vineyards survive in small plots scattered across the mountains of the western Iberian Peninsula.

Made by winemaker Rubén Magallanes, this wine seeks to reveal the most authentic character of a little-known variety, capable of producing delicate, fresh reds full of nuances, far removed from the usual power of other warmer Spanish regions.
