The wine
Pata Negra Reserva 2017 is a red wine produced by García Carrión in the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) Rioja, Spain. This wine is made from a careful selection of Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo grapes, traditional varieties of the region.
To the eye, it has a dark, bright garnet colour. On the nose, intense fruity aromas of ripe fruit, accompanied by balsamic and spicy notes. On the palate, it is a structured wine with good acidity, pleasant tannins and a long, pleasant finish.
This wine has been aged for 24 months in French and American oak barrels, which gives it complexity and elegance. It is ideal to accompany red meats, game, roasts, Serrano ham and Manchego cheeses.
