Not everything starts by accelerating. Sometimes what matters is finding the rhythm.
Marató 2022 comes from that idea. The balance between what appears immediately and what is built over time. It is no coincidence that the name comes from there, nor that behind it is Pau Capell (Ultra trail World Champion), someone who has learned to measure every effort and to understand when a path starts to become serious.
Here the starting point is clear: Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from Penedès, vines over 25 years old, and an approach that seeks to give structure without losing fluidity. The ageing —6 months in French oak— adds without imposing: it stabilises, refines, and organises.
On the nose, red fruit appears —blueberries, wild strawberry, a hint of plum— accompanied by soft notes of spice, nuts and that delicate vanilla from the oak. On the palate, everything comes together: a lively, fresh entry, with acidity that balances the whole, and a finish longer than expected for a wine that feels so easy.
It’s not about impact.
It’s about keeping the pace.
A wine that starts simple… but stays.
