Clos Basté Esprit de Basté Madiran is made with Tannat (75%) and Cabernet Franc (25%). The grapes are vinified separately in small large tanks, per plot and grape varieties. Long maceration (4 weeks) precedes aging for several months in old barrels and tanks.
Bottling takes place 20 months after harvest. When tasted, this wine is characterized by a bright and dark red dress. It has a powerful nose that combines wild fruits such as blueberries and spicy notes. The palate is complete with a coated frame, and complex aromas. It will bring a lot of freshness to a meal, and especially to all the cuisine of the Southwest: stews, confits and civets, but also in spicy dishes, lamb ...
It can be seen young, or wait a few years (6/8 years).
