The wine

Château Sénejac is one of the most popular Crus Bourgeois from Haut-Médoc, a charming Château owned by the Cordier family and run by Alfred Tesseron and the Pontet-Canet team. A wonderful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from 28 hectares of vines located near the vineyards of Margaux, on the outskirts of Parempuyre, in the south of the Haut-Médoc region.

An intimate expression of its terroir, after 18 months ageing in oak barrels it can be enjoyed now while its youth and fruit stand out or in a few years when it has evolved to offer a calmer wine with incomparable aromas.

Château Sénéjac is a splendid Bordeaux wine with an extraordinary fruity and floral expressiveness. Its aromas combine wild fruit, bay leaves expressing the grapes' typicity, and fine toasted hints from its time in oak. Elegant tannins have a finely-grained feel on the tongue, like cocoa powder. The acidity of plums and strawberries join seductive notes of liquorice and tobacco in a wonderfully created wine with a promising future.

Same owners as Château Talbot.
