Details for Broglia Gavi di Gavi La Meirana 2019
Review
Gavi's oldest vineyards offer the most pop, friendly, summery white wine in Piedmont, perfect for aperitifs but also for more complex tastings. An ancient but modern and efficient winery, which gives the best of itself in this corner of southern Piedmont suited to the cortese, the queen white grape of the area.
The Broglia style is made up of impeccable and clean wines, comprehensive but capable of describing the territory like few others. Gavi, in these parts, is an institution in all its forms: easy-to-drink white, spumante-like Prosecco, long evolution white.
Broglia La Meirana is a pleasant white wine of an intense straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. The bouquet is fresh, fruity, with delicate notes of white flowers. On the palate it is dry, well-balanced, almondy, always characterised by a solid fresh and mineral backbone. Ideal with appetizers, fish dishes and white meat.
