The wine

A family history that began in 1349. A story that today Alessandra Bindi Sergardi, the fierce and determined spokesperson of the excellence of Chianti Classico, manages masterfully and with charisma. The soils owned by the family are among the highest performing of what is today one of the most recognised and significant names in the Italian wine panorama. The area is, in fact, Castelnuovo Berardenga, made up of marlstone and alberese stone, that guarantees a direct, territorial, vertical and naturally long-lived Sangiovese.

For tradition and class the Chianti Classico Riserva I Colli stands out, which is of a beautiful intense ruby red colour. The bouquet expresses hints of spices, fruit and flowers which emerge with clarity: a bouquet that reflects the soil on which it is born, that abundance of alberese stone. On the palate it is soft, with a pleasant acidity that makes the wine fresh and lively. Sweet and ripe tannins give the wine a pleasant persistence. Exceptional expression of a typical Sangiovese, it’s traditional pairing is with red meats (both roasted and salted), game and aged cheeses.
