A beautiful Chianti
This is a Chianti Classico of the old style, without steroids and all the better for it. It is subtle without being too light with red fruit (raspberries, ripe strawberries) rising above into the deep bass of dark fruit. The finish has the typical elegant bitterness of Sangiovese. A true pleasure.
Tasted this at the vineyard over the summer - enjoyed it then and wanted more. Vinissimus were the only people supplying it to the UK, so bought a couple of cases from here. I suspect I will be buying more soon.
