Drinking and storing
The northern Piemonte is quietly producing great versions of the Nebbiolo grape. In Bramaterra, they add small amounts of Croatina and Uva Rara, which contribute to the wines' special character. This wine has the floral aromas —roses, violets— typical of Nebbiolo plus an earthy, mineral sapidity all of its own. The tannins give it a solid structure and the acidity keeps it moreish and fresh. It will last for quite a while more, undoubtedly developing even more complexity. Splendid.
