Produced from old Mencía grapevines planted between 1920 and 1935. After ageing, the wine is bottled unfiltered.
Aged in French oak barrels.

Little tired / faulty bottle
Last bottle of this was singing. Re-ordered and this one was a little jammy and lacked freshness of previous. Drinkable, just didn't blow anyone away.
The Bodegas Avanthia winery is located on the slate soil hillsides of the area of Valdeorras in Galicia.
