Details for Albino Rocca Barbaresco Cottà 2016
Review
Cottà represents one of the most well-known sub-areas of Barbaresco, as well as one of the historic cru, among the first to have been vinified in purity. The small plot stands on the south-west side, halfway up the hill, positioned next to the historic Gepin vineyard and right in front of the Ronchi. This vineyard covers a small, very small area with a production that does not exceed 15 hl, from plants that for the most part exceed 50 years of age. The soil is characterized by a clayey marl, typically capable of producing robust, rich, solid wines that go well with the typical elegance of Nebbiolo.
