Tros Blanc and Tros Negre were his first two cuvées, two single varietals of Garnacha Blanca and Garnacha Tinta, followed shortly after by Trossos Sants (a coupage of Garnacha Blanca and Garnacha Gris) and Trossos Vells (old-vine Cariñena and Garnacha).
Alfredo's wines have great prospects for cellaring, with a long life ahead of them and enormous potential, made in large barrels using grapes from very select plots of land (‘trossos’); these are refined wines, also full of intensity, well-structured and very lengthy on the palate. (The diversely patterned label design intentionally reflects the rich variety of nuances that will be acquired during evolution in bottle.)
(Alfredo can confidently rely upon a fine team to take care of viticulture and wine-making, headed up by the experienced oenologist Joan Asens, known for his Orto Vins project, and in particular for his managerial role at the Álvaro Palacios winery in the Priorat.)
Alfredo Arribas also runs a new project producing exclusive special edition wines, with the collaboration of other wineries, oenologists and restaurant owners, under the name of Ediciones I-Limitadas.
