Spec sheet
The wine
Fonoll is a white wine made from Xarel·lo, the quintessential native variety of the Penedès, and a style closely linked to its maritime surroundings. A balanced and harmonious wine, with good acidity, Mediterranean character and an elegant, silky mouthfeel that invites natural drinking.
What does this wine taste like?
Appearance: bright yellow with subtle orange reflections.
Nose: aromas of Mediterranean aromatic herbs such as rosemary, fennel and thyme, accompanied by fresh notes of green apple. Mineral and saline hints also appear, with nuances of iodine that clearly evoke the nearby sea.
Palate: round, fresh and well structured, with a fine texture and a harmonious finish that prolongs the sense of balance.

Vineyards
The grapes come from organically farmed vineyards since 2013, facing south and open to the Mediterranean Sea. They are planted on calcareous soils with a sandy-loam texture, shallow and poor in organic matter, conditions that favour restrained ripening and a marked expression of the land.
