Mencia from vineyards between 40-60 years old, grown at 650 meters of altitude in clay-calcareous soils. Aged in French oak barrels between 8-12 months.
Red wine of intense ruby red color with purple highlights. On the nose we find a lot of red fruit (raspberry, strawberry ...). In the mouth freshness and very fine tannin that give elegance and personality to this wine.

Ratings and awards
I confess to being a fan of the Bierzo/Mencia combination and this one didn't disappoint. It would have got 5 stars had it been a euro or two cheaper. But still good value for money.
Fresco y fino, elegante y con personalidad
Vino intenso color rojo púrpura. Al olfato mucha fruta roja. En boca fresco y fino, elegante y con personalidad. Sabroso.
The Frías brothers are the owners of this young winery with its century-old grapevines, a family tradition of vine-growing and wine-making, and located in Bierzo, a denomination with great potential.
