Tasca d'Almerita Capofaro Malvasia
2017 (0.5 L)Spec sheet
The wine
Born on the tiny volcanic island of Salina and windy this elegant dessert wine. Liquid gold; nose with good intensity, pours hints of apricot, raisins, candied fruit, lily of the valley, honey and Mediterranean as well as hints of black pepper and lemongrass. The palate is sweet and affectionate, even for nothing cloying. Pleasant fresh, balanced, with a good flavor that emerges in the final. In the mouth emerge aromas of tropical fruit dehydrated, saffron, dried wildflowers and a pleasant aftertaste of candied citrus peel notes and iodine.
Perfect dessert wine in combination with sweet ricotta as tradition Sicilian, alternatively we recommend it with a tarte tatin of peach.
