Review

Gutturnio is certainly the progenitor of the red wines from Piacenza. This name comes from a silver tankard in use in ancient Rome: the Gutturnium at the end of the banquet was filled with wine and turn the guests drank the last sip from it before you say goodbye, even today Piacenza keep the tradition alive by drinking this wine not from the glass, but from the white bowl tavern.

Gutturnio sparkling Podere Casale is ruby red with violet reflections spirited. The scent is clean, clean: pink, almond flowers, red flowers, berries, plum, bramble berries and rhubarb. A nose direct, sincere, young. On the palate is warm, soft, fresh and tasty, the drink is smooth. A wine full of flavor and grit, dynamic and full-bodied.

Excellent with pasta dishes served with meat sauce, scallops, capon and pigeon.
